Biosil Increases Bone Mineral Density In Clinical Study

biosil for fractures and osteoporosis
Study Title: Choline-stabilized orthosilicic acid supplementation as an adjunct to calcium/vitamin D3 stimulates markers of bone formation in osteopenic females: a randomized, placebo-controlled trial.
Number of Participants: 136 Women
Length of Study: 12 Months
Type of Study: Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Trial
Publication: BMC Muscoskeletal Disorders
Study Result: Combined therapy of ch-OSA and Ca/Vit D3 had a potential beneficial effect on bone collagen compared to Ca/Vit D3 alone which suggests that this treatment is of potential use in osteoporosis.

In a randomized, placebo-controlled trial, 136 women who supplemented with calcium and vitamin D experienced an additional bone density benefit when they added orthosilicic acid, known as Biosil, to their supplement program.

According to the researchers:

“Combined therapy of ch-OSA [Biosil] and Calcium/Vit D3 had a potential beneficial effect on bone collagen compared to Calcium/Vit D3 alone which suggests that this treatment is of potential use in osteoporosis.”
