Theracurmin® Kills Prostate and Bladder Cancer Cells

There are more than 10,000 studies on Pubmed® researching the amazing benefits of turmeric’s star family of nutrients, curcumin and the curcuminoids. The main impediment to realizing the full benefits of curcumin has been its low absorption through the gastrointestinal tract (only 1-2%). Recent breakthroughs, especially the nanoparticle Theracurmin® product, has enhanced GI absorption and uptake by the cells, where curcumin works its anti-cancer magic.

In this in vitro study, Theracurmin® was observed for its effects on human prostate and bladder cancer cells. The researchers noted that Theracurmin® exhibited similar anticancer effects in both androgen-dependent and -independent human prostate cancer cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner, inhibiting the growth of prostate cancer cells. Theracurmin® also exerted marked anticancer effects on human bladder cancer cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner, causing bladder cancer cell death. In conclusion, the researchers wrote:
