Calcium D-Glucarate is known to enhance liver detoxification by stopping the recycling of toxic hormones and environmental toxins. In this animal study, the rats were treated with the known carcinogen 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene. They supplemented the rats diet with Calcium D-Glucarate to determine if there was a reduction in tumors. They found Calcium D-Glucarate supplemented rats had a greater than 70% reduction in tumor development by lowering estradiol and precursors of 17-ketosteroids.
